The TALLAHASSEE horror show continues.

This is my first campaign, but it's hardly my first fight on behalf of residents and consumers.

For years and years, I've been going to Tallahassee and taking on members of the legislature on fights ranging from education to taxes to outrageous insurance rates. (In addition to this work, all of it pro-bono, our firm's work providing free legal services has even led to our law firm being awarded Law Firm of the Year by the Legal Aid Society of Broward County.)

To whom much is given, much is expected, and I relish public service. Giving back to a community that has given me so much is only part of it. The other part is that I am truly outraged at the way our so-called leaders, some of them even Democrats (in name only), have supported policies that take advantage of our most vulnerable and unlucky citizens.

It's a sad state of affairs when members of your party take money from the very same people from whom they're supposed to be protecting you.

Nevertheless, the more I learn (and I've learned a lot these last months), the more fired up I am to out-work my opponents, and go to Tallahassee to help turn this ship around.

Many of you have contributed generously, and some of you have given as much as the law ($1,000) or your own wallets allow.  I can't thank you enough.  If you fall into this category, you can still help by volunteering or even just liking my Facebook page and sharing content when you can.

If you're in a position to support the campaign with a contribution (or another one) here, that will help us make sure that primary voters know about me, and why I'm running.

Your support and encouragement are fueling this campaign and I am eternally grateful that you're a part of it.
